কলকাতা, ১০ নভেম্বর ২০২৪: অ্যাবাকাস প্রশিক্ষণের অন্যতম শীর্ষ সংস্থা, এসআইপি অ্যাকাডেমি, কলকাতার বিশ্ববাংলা মেলা প্রাঙ্গণে সফলভাবে আয়োজন করল এসআইপি অ্যাবাকাস ইন্টারন্যাশনাল প্রডিজি ২০২৪। এই প্রতিযোগিতা শিশুদের গাণিতিক দক্ষতার একটি বিশ্বব্যাপী প্রদর্শনীতে রূপান্তরিত হয়, যেখানে বিশ্বের ১১টি দেশের (ভারতের ২৩টি রাজ্যসহ) শিক্ষার্থীরা অংশ নেয়। ভারত ছাড়া অন্য প্রতিযোগী দেশগুলি ছিল শ্রীলঙ্কা, দুবাই, অস্ট্রেলিয়া, ফিলিপাইন, বাহরাইন, তানজানিয়া, বাংলাদেশ, নিউজিল্যান্ড, নিউ জার্সি (যুক্তরাষ্ট্র), এবং নেপাল।
৬ থেকে ১৪ বছর বয়সী বাচ্চাদের নিয়ে আয়োজিত এই প্রতিযোগিতায় অংশগ্রহণকারীরা ১১ মিনিটে ৩০০টি জটিল গাণিতিক সমস্যা সমাধান করার এক অনন্য চ্যালেঞ্জ গ্রহণ করে, যা তাদের গাণিতিক ও বিশ্লেষণমূলক দক্ষতার চমৎকার প্রদর্শন করে।
প্রধান অতিথি হিসেবে অনুষ্ঠানে উপস্থিত ছিলেন ডঃ শৈবাল চট্টোপাধ্যায়, যিনি ইন্ডিয়ান ইনস্টিটিউট অফ ম্যানেজমেন্ট কলকাতার ডিরেক্টর ইন চার্জ হিসেবে দায়িত্ব পালন করছেন। ডঃ চট্টোপাধ্যায় তাঁর বক্তব্যে শিক্ষার প্রাথমিক স্তর থেকেই বিশ্লেষণ ও দৃঢ়তার গুরুত্বের ওপর আলোকপাত করেন এবং শিশুদের প্রতিযোগিতামূলক বিশ্বের চাহিদা পূরণে দক্ষতা বিকশিত করতে উৎসাহিত করেন।
এই বছর এসআইপি অ্যাবাকাস ইন্টারন্যাশনাল প্রডিজি প্রতিযোগিতার ২১তম বর্ষ উদ্যাপিত হল, যা অতীতে চারবার লিমকা বুক অফ রেকর্ডসে বিশেষ স্বীকৃতি পেয়েছে। ২০,০০০-এরও বেশি শিক্ষার্থী, অভিভাবক এবং এসআইপি অ্যাবাকাস প্রশিক্ষক ও কর্মীবৃন্দের উপস্থিতিতে এই প্রতিযোগিতা উৎসবমুখর হয়ে ওঠে।
এসআইপি একাডেমি ইন্ডিয়া এবং ইন্টারন্যাশনালের ম্যানেজিং ডিরেক্টর, শ্রী দিনেশ ভিক্টর, এই প্রতিযোগিতা সম্পর্কে বলেন, “প্রত্যেক অংশগ্রহণকারীই একেকজন বিজয়ী, কারণ সাফল্যের প্রকৃত অর্থ অন্যদের সাথে তুলনা নয় বরং নিজের উন্নতি ও নিষ্ঠার সঙ্গে অনুশীলন করা।”

২০০৩ সাল থেকে এসআইপি একাডেমি ইন্ডিয়া শিশুদের দক্ষতা ও মানসিক ক্ষমতা উন্নয়নের লক্ষ্যে কাজ করছে। চেন্নাইতে সদর দপ্তর নিয়ে এসআইপি একাডেমি বর্তমানে ভারতের ২৩টি রাজ্যের ৩৫০টি শহরে ৯৫০টি কেন্দ্রে কাজ করছে, এবং ১০ লক্ষেরও বেশি শিক্ষার্থীকে প্রশিক্ষণ প্রদান করেছে। আন্তর্জাতিক পর্যায়ে ১১টি দেশে এসআইপি অ্যাবাকাস প্রোগ্রাম পরিচালিত হচ্ছে, যা শিশুমন বিকাশে গুরুত্বপূর্ণ ভূমিকা পালন করছে। ISO 9001:2015 সার্টিফায়েড এই সংস্থা শিশুদের জন্য আধুনিক শিক্ষার বাইরে বাস্তব জীবনের জন্য প্রয়োজনীয় দক্ষতা গড়ে তুলতে বদ্ধপরিকর।
