সোমনাথ গোপ: পুরুলিয়া জেলা জুড়ে জেলা পরিষদ, পঞ্চায়েত সমিতি ও গ্রাম পঞ্চায়েত আসন গুলিতে সবুজ ঝড়। এবারের পঞ্চায়েত নির্বাচনে জেলায় একাধিপত্য বজায় রাখল তৃণমূল কংগ্রেস। পুরুলিয়া জেলা পরিষদের ৪৫টি আসনের মধ্যে ৪২টি তে জয়ী হয়েছে তৃণমূল কংগ্রেসের প্রার্থীরা। প্রধান বিরোধী দল বিজেপি ২টি  ও নির্দল একটি আসনে জিতেছে,  জেলার ২০টি পঞ্চায়েত সমিতির মধ্যে তৃণমূল একক ১৯টি তে জিতেছে আর একটি ত্রিশঙ্কু। পাশাপাশি জেলার ১৭০টি গ্রাম পঞ্চায়েতের তৃণমূল ১২৩, বিজেপি ১১, কংগ্রেস ১, বাম 2, ও ত্রিশঙ্কু অবস্থায় আছে ৩৩টি গ্রাম পঞ্চায়েতের বোর্ড। সব মিলিয়ে জেলায় সবুজ ঝড়ে অনেকটা ফিকে হয়ে গিয়েছে গেরুয়া থেকে লালের ছটা।
বিজেপির জেলা সভাপতি বিবেক রাঙ্গা জেলা পরিষদে জিততে পারেননি, গেরুয়া শিবিরের অনেক হেভিওয়েট নেতা পরাজিত হয়েছে এই সবুজ ঝড়ে। তৃণমূল কংগ্রেস জেলা সভাপতি সৌমেন বেলথারিয়া একটি ভিডিও বার্তায় দলের কর্মীদের শুভেচ্ছা জানিয়েছেন।
