বাঁকুড়া জেলার আদি দুর্গাপূজার গতকাল ৯৪ তম বর্ষের খুঁটি পুজাে হয়েছে । স্বাধীনতার আগে জেলার স্বাধীনতা সংগ্রামীরা এই পুজোর সূচনা করেছিলেন। স্বাধীনতার আগে শহরের বিভিন্ন প্রান্তে পুজো হলেও স্বাধীনতার পর শহরের প্রাণ কেন্দ্র মাচানতলার বঙ্গবিদ্যালয় মাঠে অনুষ্ঠিত হয়ে আসছে এই পুজো। ঢাকের আওয়াজ আর মন্ত্রোচ্চারণের মধ্য দিয়ে শহরের এই প্রাচীন পুজোর সূচনা হয়। এই সার্বজনীন দুর্গোৎসব কমিটির উপদেষ্টা কেন্দ্রীয় শিক্ষা প্রতিমন্ত্রী তথা বাঁকুড়ার সাংসদ ডাঃ সুভাষ সরকার জানান, এবারের এই পুজো ৯৪ তম বর্ষে পদার্পণ করেছে। সমস্ত নিময় নীতি মেনে এই পুজোতে অংশ গ্রহন করার জন্য সকল বাঁকুড়া বাসীকে আহ্বান জানান তিনি । ‘স্বাধীনতার অমৃত মহোৎসব’ উপলক্ষে এবারের পুজো স্বাধীনতা সংগ্রামীদের উদ্দেশ্যে সমর্পন করা হবে বলেও জানান তিনি।
