পশ্চিম মেদিনীপুর :- লকডাউনের কারণে জেলা ব্লাড ব্যাঙ্কের রক্তের অভাব দেখা দিয়েছে। রক্তের অভাব মেটাতে ডঃ শ্যামাপ্রসাদ মূখার্জী ১২০ তম জন্ম জয়ন্তী উপলক্ষ্যে স্বচ্ছায় রক্তদান শিবিরের আয়োজন করা হল মেদিনীপুর শহরে।সোমবার পশ্চিম মেদিনীপুর জেলার মেদিনীপুর শহরের ভারতীয় জনতা মজদুর ট্রেড ইউনিয়ন কাউন্সিল এর মেদিনীপুর শহর মণ্ডল কমিটির উদ্যোগে রক্ত দান শিবিরের আয়োজন করা হয় স্থানীয় বেসরকারি লজে । এদিনের রক্তদান শিবের উপস্থিত ছিলেন বিজেপি র প্রাক্তন জেলা সভাপতি ধীমান কোলে, পবিত্র সাহু, শংকর দাস, বিশিষ্ট সমাজসেবী প্রদীপ লোধা সহ বিশিষ্ট জনেরা। এদিন এই রক্ত দান শিবিরে ৩৭ জন রক্তদাতারা রক্ত দান করেন।

পাশাপাশি মেদিনীপুর শহরের ২০ নং ওয়ার্ড যুব বিজেপির পক্ষ থেকে বিশ্বনাথ পট্যনায়ক, ঝুলন দাস এর নেতৃত্বে শ্যামাপ্রসাদ মুখার্জি এর জন্মদিন উপলক্ষে নানা অনুষ্ঠান করে। জেলা বিজেপির সভাপতি সমিত দাস এর নেতৃত্বে স্থানীয় ফকীর কুঁয়ার চকে শ্যামাপ্রসাদ মুখার্জি এর প্রতিকৃতিতে পুষ্পস্তবক অর্পণের মাধ্যমে শ্রদ্ধা নিবেদন করা হয়।
