ঝাড়গ্রাম : মঙ্গলবার ঝাড়গ্রাম শহরের জামদায় বাইক দুর্ঘটনায় মৃত্যু হল এক ব্যক্তির। মৃতের নাম অজয় সিনহা(৩৫)। তাঁর বাড়ি পুরাতন ঝাড়গ্রামের পাতরপাড়ায়। তিনি ঠিকাদারির কাজ করতেন। পুলিশ জানিয়েছে, এদিন বিকেলে জামদা এলাকার একটি পানশালার কাছে দু’টি বাইকের মুখোমুখি সংঘর্ষ হয়। দুটি বাইকে মোট তিনজন ছিলেন। একটি বাইকে অজয় সহ মোট দু’জন নহড়খালের দিক থেকে শহরের পাঁচমাথা মোড়ের দিকে আসছিলেন। আরেকটি বাইকে দহিজুড়ির দিকে যাচ্ছিলেন এক ব্যক্তি। মুখোমুখি সংঘর্ষে তিনজনই গুরুতর জখম হয়ে পড়ে যায়।
স্থানীয় মানুষজন তিনজনকেই উদ্ধার করে ঝাড়গ্রাম জেলা হাসপাতালে নিয়ে গেলে অজয়কে চিকিৎসক মৃত বলে ঘোষণা করেন। বাকি দু’জনকে ঝাড়গ্রাম হাসপাতালে চিকিৎসাধীন। এই ঘটনায় শোকের ছায়া নেমে এসেছে পুরাতন ঝাড়গ্রামে। এলাকার তরতাজা ছেলেটির আকস্মিক মৃত্যু কেউ মন থেকে মেনে নিতে পারছেন না। কালীপুজো উপলক্ষে পুরাতন ঝাড়গ্রামে নানা সাংস্কৃতিক অনুষ্ঠান থাকলেও এদিন শোকের ঘটনায় সমস্ত অনুষ্ঠান ও মাইকের গানও বন্ধ রেখেছে পুরাতন ঝাড়গ্রাম সার্বজনীন শ্যামাপুজা ও দীপাবলি উৎসব কমিটি।
