উত্তর দিনাজপুর: কর্মসংস্থানের সমস্যা এবারে পঞ্চায়েত নির্বাচনের প্রধান ইস্যু । শাসক ও বিরোধী দলগুলিও এই ইস্যুটিকে সামনে রেখে এবার প্রচার শুরু করেছে। পঞ্চায়েত এলাকার হাজার হাজার যুবক কর্মসংস্থানের খোঁজে প্রতিদিন ভিন রাজ্যে পাড়ি দিচ্ছে। জেলায় বাড়ছে না কৃষিতে কর্মসংস্থান, তেমনি গড়ে উঠছে না নতুন নতুন শিল্প। ফলে বাধ্য হয়ে দু-মুঠো অন্নের খোঁজে পাড়ি দিতে হচ্ছে ভিন রাজ্যে। উচ্চ শিক্ষিত থেকে শুরু করে নিরক্ষর সকলেই কর্মসংস্থানের দাবিতে সরব। তৃণমূল কংগ্রেস নেতৃত্বের দাবি, দীর্ঘ ৩৪ বছর বাম শাসনে গ্রামগুলিতে কর্মসংস্থানের ভিত্তি ভেঙে পড়েছে।
ফলে বেকারের সংখ্যা ক্রমশ বেড়েই চলেছে। যদিও বাম নেতৃত্বের দাবি, পূর্বতন বামফ্রন্ট সরকার কৃষি এবং শিল্পে বিপ্লব আনতে চেয়েছিল। কিন্তু তৃণমূলের জঙ্গী আন্দোলনে সবটাই ভেস্তে গিয়েছে। গ্রামের মানুষকে অনেক মিথ্যা আশা দিয়ে ভোট লুঠ করে তারা ক্ষমতায় এসেছে। গ্রামের দুস্থ পরিবারগুলির কর্মসংস্থানের দিকে তাদের কোন নজর নেই। বিজেপির জেলা সভাপতি নির্মল দাম বলেন, জেলার মানুষ দীর্ঘদিন বাম ও তৃণমূলকে দেখেছে। কৃষি-শিল্প-শিক্ষা-কর্মসংস্থান সহ একাধিক ক্ষেত্র পিছিয়ে পড়েছে। গ্রামের শিক্ষিত থেকে অর্ধ শিক্ষিত যুবকেরা রুজি-রোজগারের ব্যবস্থা না করতে পেরে। পাড়ি দিচ্ছে ভিন রাজ্যে।
জেলা পরিষদ সহ পঞ্চায়েত র্গুলিতে ক্ষমতায় আসলে প্রধান লক্ষ্য হবে কর্মসংস্থান ভিত্তি।
একাধিক ব্লকে বসবাসকারী যুবকেরা প্রতিদিন কাজের খোঁজে ভিন রাজ্যে যাচ্ছেন। আবার কিছুদিন পর তারা ফিরে আসছেন। অভিযোগ, পূর্বতন সরকারের পাশাপাশি বর্তমান সরকার এবিষয়ে তেমন কোন পদক্ষেপ গ্রহণ করেনি। সিপিএমের জেলা সম্পাদক অপূর্ব পাল বলেন, এবারের নির্বাচনে গ্রামীণ যুবকদের কর্মসংস্থানের বিষয়টি ইস্যু করা হবে।
জেলা পরিষদ সহ পঞ্চায়েত সমিতি ও গ্রাম পঞ্চায়েত গুলিতে ক্ষমতায় আসলে গ্রামীণ কর্মসংস্থানের বিষয়টি গুরুত্ব দেওয়া হবে।
