রাজ্যের চাহিদা মিটলে তবেই অন্য রাজ্যে আলু পাঠানোর অনুমতি দেওয়া হবে বলে মুখ্যমন্ত্রী মমতা ব্যানার্জি ফের স্পষ্টভাবে জানিয়ে দিয়েছেন। রাজ্যে আলু ও পেঁয়াজের মূল্য বৃদ্ধি নিয়ে আজ বিধানসভায় তিনি ক্ষোভ প্রকাশ করে বলেন, আলু উৎপাদনে রাজ্য দেশের মধ্যে দ্বিতীয় স্হানে থাকলেও কিছু ব্যবসায়ী তা বাইরে পাঠিয়ে দিচ্ছে। পেঁয়াজের ক্ষেত্রেও সম্প্রতি এই প্রবণতা দেখা যাচ্ছে। ভিনরাজ্যে আলু ও পেঁয়াজ পাঠানোর ক্ষেত্রে রাজ্যের সার্থকে অগ্রাধিকার দিতে হবে বলে তিনি স্পষ্ট জানান।
এদিকে, কৃত্রিমভাবে অভাব সৃষ্টির উদ্দেশ্যে কর্মবিরতি করলে রাজ্য সরকার আলু ব্যবসায়ীদের বিরুদ্ধে কঠোর পদক্ষেপ নেবে বলে জানিয়েছে। কৃষি বিপণনমন্ত্রী বেচারাম মান্না আজ বিধানসভার বাইরে সাংবাদিকদের বলেন, হিমঘরগুলিতে বর্তমানে ছয় লক্ষ দুই হাজার মেট্রিক টন আলু মজুত রয়েছে। চলতি বছরের বাকি দিনগুলিতে রাজ্যের চাহিদা মেটানোর পক্ষে তা যথেষ্ট। কৃত্রিমভাবে চাহিদা সৃষ্টি করার জন্য ৪০ জন ব্যবসায়ীকে চিহ্নিত করা হয়েছে। তার অভিযোগ, চাষীদের কাছ থেকে আলু কেনার সময় ৫০ কেজির ব্যাগ পিছু ৩০০ টাকা করে লাভ করার পরেও তারা আলু নিয়ে কালোবাজারি করার চেষ্টা করছে। রাজ্য সরকার কোনোভাবেই এটা বরদাস্ত করবে না বলেও মন্ত্রী স্পষ্ট জানিয়ে দেন।
