তৃতীয় দফায় ভোট রয়েছে মুর্শিদাবাদে। জঙ্গীপুর ও মর্শিদাবাদ লোকসভা কেন্দ্রের ভোটাররা তাদের গণতান্ত্রিক অধিকার প্রয়োগ করবেন। মুর্শিদাবাদ জেলা নিয়ে যথেষ্ট সতর্ক হোক নির্বাচন কমিশন। বিভিন্ন সময়ে নির্বাচনে রক্তাক্ত হয়েছে এই জেলার মাটি। তাই আগে থেকেই এবারের এই নির্বাচনে সতর্ক থাকতে কমিশন। নেওয়া হচ্ছে একাধিক পদক্ষেপ। মুর্শিদাবাদ জেলায় রক্তপাতহীন নির্বাচন।
মুর্শিদাবাদের রেজিনগরে রামনবমী ঘিরে চরম উত্তেজনা ছড়ায়। এই নিয়ে কড়া পদক্ষেপ নিয়েছে কমিশন। বেলডাঙা এবং শক্তিপুরের দুই ওসিকে সাসপেন্ড করে জাতীয় নির্বাচন কমিশন। এই দুই ওসি এর বিরুদ্ধে চার্জ গঠনের নির্দেশ দেওয়া হয়েছে । ইতিমধ্যে এই দুই থানায় নতুন অফিসার ইনচার্জ নিয়োগ করা হয়েছে। শক্তিপুরের নতুন ওসি হলেন বিশ্বজিৎ হালদার এবং বেলডাঙার নতুন ওসি হলেন শামসের আলি। মুর্শিদাবাদের সাব ইন্সপেক্টর ছিলেন বিশ্বজিৎ হালদার আর বীরভূমের কোর্ট ইন্সপেক্টর ছিলেন শামসের আলি।
গত ১৭ই এপ্রিল রামনবমীর দিন যে উত্তপ্ত পরিস্থিতি তৈরী হয়েছিল মুর্শিদাবাদ এর রেজিনগরে তারপরই নড়ে চড়ে বসে জাতীয় নির্বাচন কমিশন। ভোটের দিন যাতে কোন রকমের অশান্তি না ছড়ায় সেজন্য শুধু মুর্শিদাবাদের দুটি লোকসভা কেন্দ্রেই ১০০ কোম্পানি কেন্দ্রীয় বাহিনী দিয়ে ভোট করাতে চলেছে কমিশন। মুর্শিদাবাদের এই দুটি লোকসভা কেন্দ্রের প্রতিদিনকার রিপোর্ট নিচ্ছে কমিশন। প্রতিদিন জেলা প্রশাসনের থেকে বিকেল ৫ টার মধ্যে রিপোর্ট জমা দেওয়ার কথাও বলা হয়েছে । কমিশন সূত্রে খবর।
