মুখ্যমন্ত্রী মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়ের উদ্যোগে জট খুলতে চলেছে বালুরঘাট বিমানবন্দরের। মঙ্গলবার সকালে বালুরঘাট বিমানবন্দর পরিদর্শন করেন এয়ারপোর্ট অথরিটি অফ ইন্ডিয়া ও রাজ্যের পরিবহণ দফতরের প্রতিনিধিরা। চারজনের প্রতিনিধি দল বালুরঘাট বিমানবন্দরের পরিকাঠামো খতিয়ে দেখেন। এয়ারপোর্ট অথরিটি অফ ইন্ডিয়া ও রাজ্যের পরিবহণ দফতরের প্রতিনিধিদের পাশাপাশি বিমানবন্দর পরিদর্শন করেন জেলাশাসক আয়েশা রানি এ। এছাড়াও ছিলেন অন্যান্য জেলা প্রশাসনিক আধিকারিকরাও। বিমানবন্দরের পরিস্থিতির পুরো রিপোর্ট তাঁরা সংশ্লিষ্ট দফতরে জমা দেবেন বলে জানান। শীঘ্রই বালুরঘাট বিমানবন্দর থেকে উড়ান উড়বে বলে জানান তাঁরা।
