হাওড়া গ্রামীন পুলিশের পক্ষ থেকে বুধবার বাগনানে পালিত হল সেফ ড্রাইভ সেভ লাইফ কর্মসূচি।অনুষ্ঠানে বিভিন্ন স্কুলের ছাত্র ছাত্রীরা যোগদান করেন lপ্ল্যাকার্ড ধরে স্কুলের ইউনিফর্ম পরিহিত ছাত্রদের হাতে ছিল ট্রাফিক নিয়ম কানুন মেনে চলার বার্তাl প্লাকার্ডগুলো বিভিন্ন সাইজের কোনোগুলোতে ‘ড্রিঙ্কিং এন্ড রাইডিং নট টুগেদার ‘l আবার অন্যগুলোতে বাংলায় লেখা রাস্তায় গাড়ি আস্তে চালান, হেলমেট ব্যবহার করুন। এদিনে অনুষ্ঠানে উপস্থিত ছিলেন হাওড়া গ্রামীনের অতিরিক্ত পুলিশ সুপার অলোকানন্দা ভাওয়াল,এসডিপিও রাঘব. এস,বাগনান নাথার আইসি অভিজিৎ দাস সহ একাধিক পুলিশ আধিকারিকরা। এছাড়াও উপস্থিত ছিলেন আমতার বিধায়ক সুকান্ত পাল,বাগনান-১ ও ২ নং বিডিও।এই অনুষ্ঠান থেকে গাড়ির চালকদের পাশাপাশি সাধারণ মানুষদেরও চক্ষু পরীক্ষা যেমন করা হয় তেমনি পথচারী, সাংবাদিক ও শ্রমিকদের তুলে দেওয়া হয় হেলমেট ও ফ্লুসেন্ট জার্সি।পদযাত্রার আয়োজন ও করা হয় এদিন।মুখ্যমন্ত্রী মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়ের স্বপ্নের প্রকল্প সেফ ড্রাইভ সেভ লাইফ কর্মসূচি চালু করার পর থেকে দুর্ঘটনায় মৃত্যুর সংখ্যা অনেকটা কমেছে বলে জানান বিধায়ক সুশান্ত পাল।
