ঝাড়গ্রাম :- আজ নেতাই শহীদ দিবস। ২০১১সালে আজকের দিনেই লালগড়ের নেতাই গ্রামের CPI(M) এর ক্যাম্প গুলি চালানো হয়েছিল বলে অভিযোগ। এই ঘটনায় মহিলা সহ ৯জন গ্রামবাসীর মৃত্যু হয়েছিল, আহত হয়েছিলেন আরও অনেকে।
গণহত্যার দিন তৎকালীন তৃণমূল কংগ্রেসের নেতা শুভেন্দু অধিকারী প্রথম গ্রামে ঢুকে মৃতদেহ সৎকারের ব্যবস্থা করেছিলেন এবং গ্রামবাসীদের পাশে দাঁড়ান।
সেই ঘটনার পর থেকে প্রতি বছর শুভেন্দু অধিকারী এই দিনটিতে নেতাই গ্রামে গিয়ে, নেতাই শহীদ স্মৃতিরক্ষা কমিটির উদ্যোগে আয়োজিত মৃতদের স্মরণে শহীদ বেদীতে শ্রদ্ধা জানান। আজ ভোরবেলা তিনি নেতাই গ্রামে পৌঁছে শহীদবেদীতে শ্রদ্ধা জানিয়েছেন। শহীদ পরিবারের সদস্যদের শাল দিয়ে শ্রদ্ধা জানিয়েছেন তিনি। তাঁর সঙ্গে বিজেপি কর্মী সমর্থকরা দলীয় পতাকা ছাড়াই উপস্থিত ছিলেন।
তবে, এই বছরে নেতাই শহীদ স্মৃতিরক্ষা কমিটির উদ্যোগে নেতাই গ্রামে কোন স্মরণসভা হচ্ছে না, কমিটির উদ্যোগে সকালেই শহীদবেদিতে মালা দিয়ে শ্রদ্ধা জানিয়ে আসা হয়েছে।অন্যদিকে, তৃণমূল কংগ্রেসের পক্ষ থেকেও দিনটি পালন করা হবে। শহীদবেদীতে শ্রদ্ধা জানিয়ে দলের মূল কার্যক্রম হিসেবে একটি জনসভার আয়োজন করা হয়েছে লালগড়ে।
