শীতের আগে খুলে দেওয়া হল সীমান্তবর্তী ৪৪টি সেতু।অগ্রবর্তী সেনা ঘাঁটিতে রসদ পাঠানা সহজ হবে। সেইসঙ্গে যাতায়াত ও সব ধরনের সরবরাহের জন্য খুবই গুরুত্বপূর্ণ ভূমিকা নেবে সেতুগুলি।

কেন্দ্র শাসিত অঞ্চলে সীমান্তবর্তী মোট ৪৪টি গুরুত্বপূর্ণ সংযোগ রক্ষাকারী সেতু যাতায়াতের জন্য খোলার সিদ্ধান্ত হয়। সেতুগুলো হল লাদাখ, জম্মু-কাশ্মীর, উত্তরাখন্ড, হিমাচল প্রদেশ, পাঞ্জাব, সিকিম ও অরুণাচল প্রদেশে। এগুলোর মধ্যে লাদাখেই রয়েছে সাতটি সেতু, যেগুলো অগ্রবর্তী সেনা ঘাঁটিতে যাতায়াতে এবং রসদ সহ সব ধরনের সরবরাহের জন্য খুবই গুরুত্বপূর্ণ। সেনা সরবরাহ সুষ্ঠুভাবে পরিচালনার পাশাপাশি এই সব সেতুর জন্য স্থানীয় মানুষজনেরও খুব উপকার হবে। অরুণাচল প্রদেশের নেচিফু টানেলও খুলে দেওয়া হয়েছে।
