ঝাড়গ্রাম:- ঝাড়গ্রাম জেলার প্রশাসনিক সভাতেও মুখ্যমন্ত্রী মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায় দরাজ-হস্তে দাবি পূরণ করলেন সমস্ত মহলের। একগুচ্ছ পরিষেবা ও উন্নয়ন মূলক প্রকল্পের শিলান্যাসও করলেন। এর মধ্যে সবথেকে উল্লেখযোগ্য হল, ঝাড়গ্রাম মেডিক্যাল কলেজের নির্মাণ কার্যের শুভ সূচনা করে দিলেন মুখ্যমন্ত্রী। ১০০ জন ছাত্র-ছাত্রী মেডিক্যাল কলেজে ভর্তি হতে পারবেন বলেও তিনি জানিয়েছেন। অপরদিকে, যে বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের শিলান্যাস করেছিলেন মুখ্যমন্ত্রী, আদিবাসী জনজাতি’র আবেদনকে গুরুত্ব দিয়ে, সেই ঝাড়গ্রাম বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের নাম পরিবর্তন করে রাখলেন, “সাধু রাম চাঁদ মুর্মু বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় ঝাড়গ্রাম।” মুখ্য সচিব আলাপন বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায় বললেন, আদিবাসী সমাজের দাবি ও আবেদন’কে গুরুত্ব দিয়ে মুখ্যমন্ত্রী আইন পরিবর্তন করে, এই বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের নাম পরিবর্তন করলেন। প্রসঙ্গত উল্লেখ্য, ঝাড়গ্রাম জেলার শিলদার কামারবান্ধি গ্রামে জন্মগ্রহণ করা সাধু রামচাঁদ মুর্মু সাঁওতালি ভাষার একজন বিখ্যাত কবি। মুখ্যমন্ত্রী মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায় স্মরণ করিয়ে দিলেন, ঝাড়গ্রাম জেলায় প্রায় শতাধিক প্রাথমিক ও উচ্চ বিদ্যালয়ে অলচিকি ভাষায় পাঠদান ও শিক্ষক নিয়োগে তাঁর সরকারের অবদানের কথা। এছাড়াও, অলচিকি ভাষায় সাম্মানিক স্নাতক (অনার্স) ও স্নাতকোত্তর পাঠদানের কথাও উল্লেখ করলেন।
