লেবানন যাচ্ছে বাংলাদেশ নৌবাহিনীর যুদ্ধজাহাজ

ডেস্ক রিপোর্ট, ঢাকা: জাতিসংঘ শান্তিরক্ষা মিশনে অংশগ্রহণের জন্য লেবানন যাচ্ছে বাংলাদেশ নৌবাহিনীর যুদ্ধজাহাজ ‘সংগ্রাম’। পূর্বপরিকল্পনা ও পূর্বনির্ধারিত সময়সূচি অনুযায়ী ৯ আগস্ট রবিবার লেবাননের উদ্দেশে চট্টগ্রাম নৌ–জেটি ছেড়েছে জাহাজটি। চট্টগ্রাম নৌ–অঞ্চলের আঞ্চলিক কমান্ডার রিয়ার এডমিরাল এম মাহবুব–উল ইসলাম প্রধান অতিথি হিসেবে উপস্থিত থেকে জাহাজটিকে আনুষ্ঠানিকভাবে বিদায় জানান। আন্তঃবাহিনী জনসংযোগ পরিদপ্তরের (আইএসপআির) এক সংবাদ বিজ্ঞপ্তিতে জানানো হয়, জাতিসংঘের আওতায় মাল্টিন্যাশনাল মেরিটাইম টাস্কফোর্সের অধীনে ভূ–মধ্যসাগরে ইউনাইটেড নেশনস ইনট্রিম ফোর্স ইন লেবানন (ইউএনআইএফআইএল) বর্তমানে বানৌজা বিজয় দায়িত্বরত রয়েছে। জাহাজটি দীর্ঘ দুই বছর আট মাস সফলভাবে দায়িত্ব পালন শেষে বানৌজা সংগ্রাম’ কে দায়িত্ব হস্তান্তর করবে।

নৌবাহিনীর যুদ্ধজাহাজ সংগ্রামের অধিনায়ক ক্যাপ্টেন ফয়সাল মোহাম্মদ আরিফুর রহমান ভূঁইয়ার নেতৃত্বে সর্বমোট ১৫ কর্মকর্তা এবং ৯৫ নাবিক শান্তিরক্ষা মিশনে যোগ দিতে লেবাননের উদ্দেশে গমন করেন। বানৌজা বিজয়কে প্রতিস্থাপনের উদ্দেশে গত ১৮ জুন প্রধানমন্ত্রী শেখ হাসিনা টেলি কনফারেন্সের মাধ্যমে বানৌজা সংগ্রামকে কমিশনিং করেন। আইএসপআির জানায়, ২০১০ সাল হতে বাংলাদেশ নৌবাহিনীর যুদ্ধজাহাজ লেবাননে জাতিসংঘ শান্তিরক্ষা মিশনে অংশগ্রহণ করে আসছে। লেবাননের ভূ–খণ্ডে অবৈধ অস্ত্র এবং গোলাবারুদ অনুপ্রবেশ প্রতিহত করতে দক্ষতার সাথে কাজ করে চলেছে নৌবাহিনীর জাহাজ।
