আগামী ১লা জুলাই বাংলার প্রাক্তন মুখ্যমন্ত্রী বিধান চন্দ্র রায়ের জন্মদিনে প্রদেশ কংগ্রেস সভাপতি সোমেন মিত্র, বিধান ভবনে আমন্ত্রণ জানালেন বামফ্রন্টের চেয়ারম্যান বিমান বসু সহ অন্যান্য বাম নেতাদের।
প্রতি বছরই এই দিনটি পালন করা হয় সারাদিনের বিভিন্ন অনুষ্ঠানের মধ্য দিয়ে। এই বছর লক ডাউন তথা সামাজিক দূরত্ব বজায় রাখার জন্য শুধুমাত্র সকাল সাড়ে ১০টায় সংক্ষিপ্ত শ্রদ্ধাঞ্জলির অনুষ্ঠান করা হবে।
উল্লেখ্য, গত ২রা অক্টোবর মহাত্মা গান্ধীর জন্ম দিবস উপলক্ষে একটি চিত্র প্রদর্শনীতে বিধান ভবনে উপস্থিত হয়েছিলেন বাম নেতৃবৃন্দ।
এদিকে, আগামী ২ রা জুলাই বিকেল ৪ টায় ফরওয়ার্ড ব্লকের নেতা অশোক ঘোষের জন্মদিনের অনুষ্ঠানে তাঁদের দপ্তরে উপস্থিত থাকার জন্য প্রদেশ কংগ্রেস সভাপতি সোমেন মিত্র সহ অন্যান্য কংগ্রেস নেতাদের আমন্ত্রণ জানিয়েছেন ফরওয়ার্ড ব্লকের সম্পাদক নরেন চট্টোপাধ্যায়। প্রদেশ কংগ্রেস সভাপতি ওই অনুষ্ঠানে উপস্থিত থাকবে বলে জানিয়ে দিয়েছেন।
