গড়িয়াহাট ফ্লাইওভারের নিচে মাল্টি লেভেল কার পার্কিং এর উদ্বোধন করলেন কলকাতার মহানাগরিক তথা রাজ্যের মন্ত্রী ফিরহাদ হাকিম। শনিবার এই মাল্টিলেভেল কার পার্কিং উদ্বোধনী অনুষ্ঠানে মেয়রের পাশাপাশি উপস্থিত ছিলেন কলকাতা পৌরসভার মেয়র পারিষদ দেবাশীষ কুমার সহ স্থানীয় কাউন্সিলর ও অন্যান্য বিশিষ্টজনেরা। মহানাগরিক বলেন, গড়িয়াহাট এলাকায় পার্কিংয়ের গুরুতর সমস্যা ছিল। সেখানে গাড়ি রাখার ক্ষেত্রে সমস্যায় পড়তে হতো গাড়ির মালিকদের। এই মাল্টি লেভেল কার পার্কিং সেই সমস্যা অনেকটাই মেটাবে।
শহরকে দূষণমুক্ত করারও উদ্যোগ কলকাতা পুরসভার রয়েছে বলে এদিন ফিরহাদ হাকিম সাংবাদিকদের প্রশ্নের জবাবে জানান। ব্যাটারি চালিত গাড়ির চার্জিং এর ব্যবস্থা শহরের বিভিন্ন প্রান্তে করা হচ্ছে বলে তিনি জানান। শহরে যত্রতত্র গাড়ি পার্কিং রুখতে কলকাতা পুরসভা উদ্যোগ গ্রহণ করছে বলেও এদিন সাংবাদিকদের প্রশ্নের জবাবে জানিয়েছেন মেয়র।
