লোকসভায় কংগ্রেস দলনেতা অধীর রঞ্জন চৌধুরীর বাড়িতে হামলার প্রতিবাদে বিধান ভবন সংলগ্ন এলাকায় বিক্ষোভ কর্মসূচি অনুষ্ঠিত হয়। রাতেই কংগ্রেস কর্মী সমর্থকরা ওই ঘটনার প্রতিবাদে বিক্ষোভ দেখায়। এই ঘটনার তীব্র নিন্দা জানিয়েছেন প্রদেশ কংগ্রেস সভাপতি সোমেন মিত্র। শুভঙ্কর সরকার আশুতোষ চট্টোপাধ্যায়ের নেতৃত্বে কংগ্রেস কর্মী সমর্থকরা প্রতিবাদ মিছিল করে বিজেপির বিরুদ্ধে সরব হন।
সোমেন মিত্র এক প্রেস বিবৃতিতে জানান, অধীর চৌধুরীর দিল্লীর বাড়িতে ভাঙচুরের ঘটনার তীব্র নিন্দা করছি। সংসদে অধীর যেভাবে দিল্লীর দাঙ্গার বিরুদ্ধে সোচ্চার হয়েছে তার বদলা নিতেই এই কাপুরুষতা বলে আমরা মনে করছি। দিল্লীর আইন শৃঙ্খলার অবস্থা এমনই যে লোকসভার কংগ্রেস দলের দলের নেতার বাড়িতেও দুষ্কৃতীরা অবাধে আক্রমণ করছে। স্বরাষ্ট্রমন্ত্রী অমিত শাহ কলকাতায় এসে বাংলায় সরকার গড়ার কথা বলছেন কিন্তু দেশের রাজধানীর এই ভয়াবহ অবস্থার কথা নিয়ে দেশের মানুষকে আশ্বস্ত করছেন না।
আমরা অবিলম্বে অধীর রঞ্জন চৌধুরীর নিরাপত্তা বাড়ানোর জন্য কেন্দ্রীয় সরকারের কাছে দাবি জানাচ্ছি।
আগামী কাল এই ঘৃণ্য হামলার প্রতিবাদে কংগ্রেস এবং শাখা সংগঠনের কর্মীরা সব জেলায় ধিক্কার দিবস পালন করবে।
