সপ্তাহের প্রথম কাজের দিন। ইছাপুর এবং নৈহাটির মধ্যে স্বয়ংক্রিয় সিগনালিং ব্যবস্থার কাজের জন্য বাতিল বহু ট্রেন। আগামী রবিবার পর্যন্ত একই পরিস্থিতি চলবে শিয়ালদহ মেইল শাখায়। একাধিক ট্রেন বাতিল হওয়ার কারণে সপ্তাহের প্রথম কাজের দিনে চরম দূর্ভোগে পড়েছেন নিত্যযাত্রীরা। খুব সকাল সকাল ঘর থেকে বেরিয়েও শিয়ালদহে পৌঁছতে নাভিশ্বাস উঠেছে। যাত্রীরা জানালেন তাদের সেই দুর্বিষহ পরিস্থিতির কথা। পূর্ব রেল সূত্রে জানা গিয়েছে সিগনাল আধুনিকীকরণের কাজ কিছুটা এগোলে 14 ও 15 ফেব্রুয়ারি আটটি লোকাল ট্রেনকে নৈহাটির বদলে কল্যাণী পর্যন্ত চালানো হবে। উল্লেখ্য, এই কাজ চলার কারণে প্রতিদিন 40 জোড়ার মতো ট্রেন বাতিল হতে চলেছে। একপ্রকার বলা যায় শিয়ালদহ মেইন শাখায় ট্রেন পরিষেবা সম্পূর্ণ বিপর্যস্ত হয়ে পড়েছে এই সিগনালিং কাজ চলার জন্য।
