ঝাড়গ্রাম:- ঝাড়গ্রামের লালগড় থানা থেকে ১৮টি আগ্নেয়াস্ত্র চুরির অভিযোগে জামবনি থানার সাব ইনস্পেক্টর তারাপদ টুডুকে বুধবার গ্রেফতার করে ঝাড়গ্রাম জেলা পুলিশ। তারাপদের সঙ্গে গ্রেফতার করা হয়েছে আরও তিন জনকে। তাঁরা যদিও পুলিশ কর্মী নন। জেলা পুলিশ চার জনকেই গ্রেফতার করেছে। এ দিন তাঁদের আদালতে তোলা হলে, বিচারক সকলকে পাঁচ দিনের পুলিশি হেফাজতে রাখার নির্দেশ দিয়েছেন।
জেলা পুলিশ সূত্রে জানা গিয়েছে, বর্তমানে জামবনি থানায় কর্মরত তারাপদ আগে লালগড় থানায় কর্মরত ছিলেন। থানার মালখানার দায়িত্বেই ছিলেন তিনি। জেলা পুলিশের এক শীর্ষ কর্তা বলেন, তারাপদ ৬ জুলাই ২০১৮ থেকে ২৭ জুন ২০১৯ পর্যন্ত লালগড় থানার মালখানার দায়িত্বে ছিলেন। পুলিশ সূত্রে খবর, ২০০৮ থেকে পরবর্তী প্রায় চার বছর লালগড় থানা এলাকায় মাওবাদীদের হাত ধরে প্রচুর অস্ত্র ঢুকেছিল। সেই সময় থেকেই বিভিন্ন সময়ে পুলিশ অনেক আগ্নেয়াস্ত্র বাজেয়াপ্ত করেছিল। সেই সমস্ত বাজেয়াপ্ত অস্ত্র নিয়ে এখনও মামলা চলছে আদালতে। ফলে, উদ্ধার হওয়া আগ্নেয়াস্ত্রগুলি রাখা ছিল থানারই মালখানাতে।
