বছরের শেষ সূর্যগ্রহণ “রিং অফ ফায়ার”

বৃহস্পতিবার হল বলয়গ্রাস সূর্যগ্রহণ। বিজ্ঞানীরা এর নাম দিয়েছেন ‘রিং অফ ফায়ার’। গ্রহণের সময় সূর্যকে রক্তাক্ত আংটির মতো দেখা যায়।
গ্রহনটি এইদিন ভারতের সময় সকাল ৯ টায় শুরু হয়ে দুপুর ২ টা ৩৫ মিনিট ৩৬ সেকেন্ড সম্পন্ন হয় । এ সময় চাঁদ সূর্যের সামনে এসে ধীরে ধীরে ঢেকে ফেলে।
আবহাওয়া অফিস জানাচ্ছে, বাহরাইনের উরায়ারারের দক্ষিন-পশ্চিম দিকে সূর্যগ্রহন শুরু হয়। কেন্দ্রীয় গ্রহন সম্পন্ন হয় ফিলিপাইন্স সাগরে ওয়েক দ্বীপের পশ্চিম দিকে । আর সর্বোচ্চ সূর্যগ্রহন হয় মালাক্কা প্রণালীতে রুপাথ দ্বীপের দক্ষিন-পূর্ব দিকে।

এই আংশিক সূর্যগ্রহণ পর্যবেক্ষণ করতে ক্যাম্পের আয়োজন করা হয় দেশের বিভিন্ন প্রান্তে।টেলিস্কোপ দিয়ে আংশিক সূর্যগ্রহণ দেখার ব্যবস্থা ছিল। পাশাপাশি ছিল সূর্যগ্রহণ বিষয়ে বিশেষজ্ঞদের আলোচনা।
