কলকাতাঃ আজ ২৫ শে ডিসেম্বর। বছর শেষের পুর্বেই ক্রিসমাস উৎসবে মাতোয়ার শহরবাসী। গতকাল থেকেই আলো ঝলমলে সেজে উঠেছিল গোটা পার্ক স্ট্রীট চত্বর। বড়দিন উপলক্ষে মধ্যেরাত থেকেই শুরু হয়েছিল গির্জায় গির্জায় বিশেষ প্রার্থনা। সাথে রংবাহারী আলো ও ক্রিসমাস ট্রিতে সেজে উঠেছিল শহরের রাজপথ। রাত বাড়তেই পাল্লা দিয়ে বেড়ে চলেছিল ভিড়। সাথে ছিল আটোসাটো নিরাপত্তা।

ছুটির দিনে আজ সকাল থেকেই শহরের বিভিন্ন প্রান্তে সাধারন মানুষ এর সমাগম । চিড়িয়াখানা, ভিক্টোরিয়া মেমোরিয়াল সহ ইকোপার্ক বড়দিনে ছুটির মেজাজে ক্রিসমাসে সেলিব্রেশানে মাতোয়ারা রাজ্যবাসী। আজকে সকাল থেকেই বড়দিন পালিত হচ্ছে শহর সহ জেলা জুড়ে। কার্নিভাল মুডে তিলোত্তমা কলকাতা। উতসবে মাতোয়ারা বড় থেকে ছোট সকলেই। সময়ের সাথে সাথে ইকোপার্কে আজ জনতার ঢল নামছে। ইতিমধ্যে ইকোপার্ককে নতুন সাজে সাজিয়ে তোলা হয়েছে,

কেউ ইকোপার্কে এসেছেন বন্ধু-বান্ধবের সাথে আবার কেউ বা এসেছে পড়িবারের সাথে। আজকে ইকোপার্কে সার্বিক ছবিটা অন্যদিনের তুলনায় একেবারে আলাদা। ভিড়ে ঠাসা ক্রিসমাস ডেস্টিনেশান। বড় দের পাশাপাশি ছোটরাও আজ ভিড় জমিয়েছেন ছোটরাও শহরের বিভিন্ন প্রান্তে। অনেকের পিকনিক আবার অনেকেই জমিয়ে খাওয়া দাওয়ার প্লান রয়েছে সারাদিন ধরে। সাথে চলছে কেক খাওয়ার পর্ব। জাঁকিয়ে শীত সাথে উৎসবের আমেজ ভরপুর আনন্দ উপভোগ করছে শহরবাসী। পাশাপাশি আজ ইকোপার্ক চত্বরে বাড়তি নজরদারি রয়েছে। এছাড়া রয়েছে আটোসাটো নিরাপত্তা। একই সঙ্গে সিসিটিভি মোতায়েন রয়েছে গোটা চত্বর জুড়ে।
