বিধাননগর এলাকার মধ্যে সব বড় পুজোগুলোর নিরাপত্তা এবার আরও জোরদার করলো বিধাননগর সিটি পুলিশ। চতুর্থী বিকেল ৩টে থেকে বন্ধ করে দেওয়া হবে ভিআইপি রোডের প্রতিটি ফুটব্রিজ। শ্রীভূমির পুজোকে কেন্দ্র করে এই সিদ্ধান্ত গ্রহণ করলো বিধাননগর পুলিশ। আজ সাংবাদিক সম্মেলন করে বিধাননগর পুলিশের ডিসি হেড কোয়ার্টার কুনাল আগারওয়াল জানান ‘বিধাননগর এলাকার মধ্যে সবচেয়ে গুরুত্বপূর্ণ পুজো শ্রীভূমি’। সেই কথা মাথায় রেখে এই বছর শ্রীভূমিতে মোতায়ন করা হচ্ছে বিধাননগর পুলিশের বিশাল পুলিশ বাহিনী, কুইক রেসপন্স টিম, এন্টি থেফ টিম। সাধারণ পোশাকে থাকবে মহিলা এবং পুরুষ পুলিশ। যার ফলে ভিড়ের মধ্যে কোনো অপরাধ হলে দ্রুত পদক্ষেপ গ্রহণ করবে তারা।
এছাড়াও গোলাঘাটা এবং বাঙ্গুরে নির্দিষ্ট পার্কিং এলাকা করা হয়েছে। সেখানে গাড়ি রেখে লেকটাউন আন্ডার পাস বা গোলাঘাটা আন্ডার পাস ব্যবহার করে শ্রীভূমিতে পৌঁছাতে পারবেন দর্শকরা। শ্রীভূমি ছাড়াও অন্যান্য বড় পুজো গুলোতেও এই ধরণের পুলিশি ব্যবস্থা করা হয়েছে। বিধাননগর জুড়ে যাতে পুজোর সময় কোনো অপরাধ না সংঘটিত হতে পারে তার জন্যে ৮টি দল তৈরি করা হয়েছে যারা সল্টলেক এবং ভিআইপি এলাকায় রাতে এবং দুপুরে টহলদারী চালাবে। শ্রীভূমিতে ভিড়ের উপর নির্ভর করে ড্রোন চালানো হতে পারে বলেও জানান কুনাল আগারওয়াল।
