টালা ব্রিজ বন্ধ থাকার কারণে আগামীকাল থেকে অতিরিক্ত তিন জোড়া ট্রেন চালানোর সিদ্ধান্ত নিল পূর্ব রেলওয়ে। বারাকপুর থেকে বিবাদীবাগ পর্যন্ত এই তিন জোড়া অতিরিক্ত ট্রেন চলবে। সোমবার সাংবাদিক সম্মেলন করে পূর্ব রেলের তরফ থেকে এমনটাই জানানো হয়েছে।
পূর্ব রেলওয়ের শিয়ালদহ ডিভিশনের ডিআরএম প্রভাস দানসানা এদিন সাংবাদিক সম্মেলন করেন। উল্লেখ্য,এই শাখায় আগে ১৪ জোড়া ট্রেন চালানো হতো।এখন তিন জোড়া বাড়তি ট্রেন চলবে। সেই সঙ্গে দুর্গাপুজোর সময় সপ্তমী অষ্টমী নবমী দশমী অতিরিক্ত ট্রেন চালানো হবে বলে পূর্ব রেলের তরফ থেকে জানানো হয়েছে। পাশাপাশি মহিলাদের নিরাপত্তার জন্য অতিরিক্ত পুলিশ নিরাপত্তা থাকবে। গান্ধীজীর জন্মদিন উপলক্ষে স্বচ্ছ অভিযান পালন করেছে পূর্ব রেল। পাশাপাশি নিরাপত্তা বাড়াতে বিধাননগর স্টেশন শিয়ালদহ স্টেশন, কলকাতা স্টেশন,মাঝের হাট স্টেশন বালিগঞ্জ স্টেশন অতিরিক্ত সিসিটিভি ক্যামেরা বসানো হয়েছে,।শিয়ালদহ ২৫০ টি সিসিটিভি ক্যামেরা বসানো হবে।দমদম সিসিটিভি বসানোর কাজ চলছে।
