মিজান রহমান, ঢাকা: প্রধানমন্ত্রী শেখ হাসিনা নিউইয়র্কে জাতিসংঘ সাধারণ পরিষদের আসন্ন অধিবেশন চলাকালে টিকাদান ও যুব কর্মদক্ষতা উন্নয়নে বাংলাদেশের বিরাট সাফল্যের জন্য দুটি বৈশ্বিক পুরস্কার পাচ্ছেন। পররাষ্ট্রমন্ত্রী ড. এ কে আবদুল মোমেন ২৪-২৯ সেপ্টেম্বর জাতিসংঘ সাধারণ পরিষদের ৭৪তম অধিবেশনে প্রধানমন্ত্রী অংশগ্রহণ সম্পর্কে বুধবার তার মন্ত্রণালয়ে সাংবাদিকদের ব্রিফিংকালে এ তথ্য জানান। মোমেন বলেন, গ্লোবাল অ্যালায়েন্স ফর ভ্যাকসিনেশন অ্যান্ড ইমিউনাইজেশন (জিএভিআই) টিকাদানে বাংলাদেশের অসাধারণ সাফল্যের স্বীকৃতি হিসেবে প্রধানমন্ত্রী শেখ হাসিনাকে ‘ভ্যাকসিন হিরো’ নামে পুরস্কার দিতে আন্তরিক আগ্রহ প্রকাশ করেছে।’
এছাড়া ইউনিসেফ প্রধানমন্ত্রী শেখ হাসিনাকে ‘চ্যাম্পিয়ন অব স্কিল ডেভেলপমেন্ট ফর ইয়ুথ’ শীর্ষক পুরস্কারে সম্মানিত করবে। পররাষ্ট্রমন্ত্রী জানান, এ পুরস্কার প্রদান করতে ‘অ্যান ইভনিং টু অনার হার এক্সিলেন্সি প্রাইম মিনিস্টার শেখ হাসিনা’ শীর্ষক অনুষ্ঠানের আয়োজন করা হবে। প্রধানমন্ত্রী ২৭ সেপ্টেম্বর ইউএনজিএ’র ৭৪তম বার্ষিক সাধারণ বিতর্কে বাংলাদেশের পক্ষ থেকে ভাষণ দেবেন। গত সোমবার ‘ড. কালাম স্মৃতি ইন্টারন্যাশনাল এক্সেলেন্স অ্যাওয়ার্ডস’ গ্রহণ করার মাধ্যমে এ পর্যন্ত প্রধানমন্ত্রী শেখ হাসিনার প্রাপ্ত আন্তর্জাতিক পুরস্কারের সংখ্যা ৩৭টিতে দাঁড়িয়েছে।
