ঝাড়গ্রাম: উদ্বোধনের দিনই জমে উঠল শ্রাবণী মেলা। শনিবার থেকে শুরু হল ১৭ তম ঝাড়গ্রাম শ্রাবণী মেলা, লােক সংস্কৃতি ও পর্যটন উৎসব। সন্ধ্যার মাঙ্গলিক প্রদীপ জ্বালিয়ে উদ্বোধন হল ঝাড়গ্রাম শ্রাবনী মেলার। শনিবার সন্ধ্যায় মাঙ্গলিক প্রদীপ জ্বালিয়ে উদ্বোধন হল ঝাড়গ্রাম জেলা শহরের শ্রাবনী মেলার। উদ্বোধন করেন ঝাড়গ্রাম জেলার জেলাশাসক আয়েশা রানি এ, জেলা পুলিশ সুপার অরিজিৎ সিনহা। উপস্থিত ছিলেন ঝাড়গ্রামের ডিএফও বাসবরাজ এস হোলেচ্চি, অতিরিক্ত পুলিশ সুপার বিশ্বজিৎ মাহাতো, জেলা তথ্য ও সংস্কৃতি আধিকরিক মহুয়া মল্লিক, ঝাড়গ্রামের এসডিপিও অনিন্দ্যসুন্দর ভট্টাচার্য সহ সমাজের বিশিষ্ট গুণীজন। শহরের অফিসার্স ক্লাব মাঠে মেলা উপলক্ষে রয়েছে বিভিন্ন সরকারি ও বেসরকারি মিলিয়ে প্রায় দুশো স্টল।
এ ছাড়া নানা মিনোরঞ্জনের উপকরণ রয়েছে মেলায়। রয়েছে হরেক রকম জিভে জল আনা খাবারের স্টল-ও। প্রতি সন্ধ্যায় থাকছে সাংস্কৃতি অনুষ্ঠান। ১৫ দিনের মেলা চলবে আগামী ২৫ অগস্ট পর্যন্ত। উদ্যোক্তা অরণ্যশহরের রঘুনাথপুর সর্বজনীন দুর্গা পুজো কমিটি। মেলা উপলক্ষে বিনামূল্যে রক্ত পরীক্ষা, থ্যালাসেমিয়া বাহক নির্ণয়, চোখ পরীক্ষা, স্বাস্থ্যপরীক্ষার ব্যবস্থা রয়েছে। মেলা প্রাঙ্গণে সকলের প্রবেশ অবাধ। মেলা কমিটির যুগম সম্পাদক চন্দন শতপথী জানালেন, প্রশাসন ও এলাকাবাসীর সম্মিলিত সহযােগিতার কারণেই এত বড় উৎসবের আয়ােজন করা সম্ভব হচ্ছে।
