এদিন বাংলাদেশের হয়ে তিন উইকেট নেন মুস্তাফিজুর রহমান, দুই উইককেট মহম্মদ সইফুদ্দিনের। একটি করে উইকেট নেন মেহদি হাসান ও শাকিব আল হাসান। ফলস্বরুপ ৩০৯ রানেই থেমে যায় প্রোটীয়াদের ইনিংস। দুরন্ত জয় দিয়েই বিশ্বকাপ শুরু করল বাংলাদেশ ।
