পশ্চিম মেদিনীপুর: বেআইনিভাবে চোলাই মদ বিক্রির অভিযোগে পুলিশ এক মহিলাসহ দুজনকে গ্রেফতার করেছে।পুলিশ জানিয়েছে, ধৃত মহিলার নাম কাজল মালিক । তাঁর বাড়ি দাসপুর থানার চাঁন্দপুর গ্রামে। অন্যজনের নাম সমীর মান্ডিল সে ঘাটাল থানার দন্ডীপুরের বাসিন্দা।
শুক্রবার ভোরে আবগারি দফতর ও পুলিশ বেআইনি চোলাই মদের বিরুদ্ধে যৌথ অভিযান চালিয়ে ঘাটাল ও দাসপুর থানার দীর্ঘগ্রাম চাঁদপুর ও দন্ডীপুর গ্রাম থেকে প্রচুর বেআইনি চোলাই মদ উদ্ধার করে। ওই তিনটি গ্রাম থেকে দু হাজার ছয়শো এগারো লিটার বেআইনি মদ ও আঠারো টি মদ তৈরির হাড়ি উদ্ধার হয়েছে। পুলিশ জানিয়েছে ধৃতদের বিরুদ্ধে দীর্ঘদিন ধরে এলাকায় চোলাই বিক্রি করার অভিযোগ আসছিল।
