বাংলাএক্সপ্রেস, ওয়েবডেস্কঃ ২০১৯ দ্বাদশ আইপিএলের উদ্বোধনী অনুষ্ঠান বন্ধ রাখার সিদ্ধান্ত নিল বিসিসিআই৷ উল্লেখ্য প্রত্যেক বছর জমকালো ভাবে অনেক অর্থ খরচ করে আইপিএল এর উদ্বোধন অনুষ্ঠান করা হয়। এবছর সেই অনুষ্ঠান না করে সেই অর্থ শহিদ পরিবারদের দেওয়ার সিদ্ধান্ত নিল বিসিসিআই৷ শুক্রবার সিওএ কমিটির বৈঠকে এই সিদ্ধান্ত নেওয়া হয়৷ পুলওয়ামায় জঙ্গি হামলায় শহিদ পরিবারের পাশে এভাবেই দাঁড়াল ভারতীয় ক্রিকেট বোর্ড৷ দিল্লিতে এদিন সিওএ কমিটির বৈঠকের পর সিওএ প্রধান বিনোদ রাই জানান, ‘আমরা এ বছর আইপিএলের উদ্বোধন অনুষ্ঠান বন্ধ রাখার সিদ্ধান্ত নিয়েছি৷ সেই অর্থ দিয়ে পুলওয়ামায় শহিদ পরিবারদের দেওয়া হবে৷’ চলতি বছর অর্থাৎ দ্বাদশ আইপিএল শুরু হবে ২৩ মার্চ৷ চেন্নাইয়ে আইপিএলের প্রথম ম্যাচে মুখোমুখি মহেন্দ সিং ধোনির চেন্নাই সুপার কিংস ও বিরাট কোহলির রয়্যাল চ্যালেঞ্জার্স ব্যাঙ্গালোর৷ ফলে উত্তেজক এই লীগের খেলার শুরু কোন রকম আড়ম্বর ছাড়াই। তাসত্ত্বেও বিসিসিআই এর এমন সিন্ধান্তে খুশি ক্রিকেট মহল থেকে শুরু করে সুধী মানুষেরা।
