পশ্চিম মেদিনীপুর: সপ্তাহের প্রথম কাজের দিনেই নিয়ন্ত্রণ হারিয়ে উল্টে গেল যাত্রীবাহী বাস। ঘটনায় আহত প্রায় ৩০ জন যাত্রী। ঘটনাটি পশ্চিম মেদিনীপুর জেলার দাসপুরে। সোমবার সকালে পশ্চিম মেদিনীপুর জেলার ঘাটাল মেদিনীপুর রুটের মেদিনীপুর গামী একটি বাস দাসপুর বেলেঘাটার মাঝে পিরতলায় নিয়ন্ত্রণ হারিয়ে রাস্তার পাশে উলটে যায়।
ঘটনায় আহত হন প্রায় ৩০ জন। আহতদের উদ্ধার করে প্রথমে দাসপুর হাসপাতালে নিয়ে যাওয়া হয়। সেখান থেকে বেশ কয়েকজনকে ঘাটাল হাসপাতালে পাঠানো হয়। খবর পেয়ে ঘটনাস্থলে হাজির হয় দাসপুর থানার পুলিশ। যান্ত্রিক গোলযোগের জন্যই এই বিপত্তি বলে প্রাথমিকভাবে পুলিশের অনুমান। ঘটনায় প্রানহানীর কোনও খবর নেই। স্থানীয়দের মতে বড়সড় দুর্ঘটনা থেকে রক্ষা পেলো যাত্রীবোঝাই বাসটি।
