সুতিঃ সুতি থানার পুলিশ ছাবঘাটি মালোপাড়া এলাকা থেকে ৪৭ টি গরু সহ ৪ জন বাংলাদেশি ও ১ জন ভারতীয় কে গ্রেপ্তার করেছে। পুলিশ সূত্রে জানা গিয়েছে ঐ ভারতীয়র সঙ্গে বাংলাদেশিরা এই দেশে আসে গরু পাচারের উদশ্যে নিয়ে। মঙ্গলবার রাতে গরু নিয়ে বাংলাদেশের দিকে নিয়ে যাওয়ার সময় সুতি থানার পুলিশ গোরু পাচারকারী সন্দেহে ওই ৫জনকে ধরে ফেলে।
পুলিস সূত্রে জানা গিয়েছে, ধৃত মহম্মদ জামালুদ্দিন, বাবু সেখ, রহমত আলি, আহাসান সেখ, এই ৪জনের বাড়ি বাংলাদেশের শিবগঞ্জ থানার চাপাইনবাবগঞ্জ জেলায়। যদিও অপর ধৃত ইব্রাহিম মহলদার ভারতীয় বলেই জানা গিয়েছে। বুধবার তাদের আদালতে তোলা হবে।
