ঝাড়গ্রাম : জঙ্গলমহলের শিক্ষার অন্যতম আঙিনা সাঁওতালী ভাষা৷ এখানে অধিকাংশ মানুষ তপশিলী জাতি ও উপজাতির আওতায়।জঙ্গলমহলের মহাবিদ্যালয় গুলিতে সবচেয়ে বেশী যদি মহাবিদ্যালয় স্তরে ছাত্ররা ভর্তি হয় তা হল সাঁওতালী বিভাগ। সাঁওতালী বিভাগের শিক্ষক শিক্ষিকারা এদিন গোপীবল্লভপুরের সূবর্নরেখা মহাবিদ্যালয়ে একটি পদযাত্রার মাধ্যমে এই অনুষ্ঠানের সূচনা করেন। প্রদীপ প্রজ্জ্বলন করেন বিদ্যাসাগর বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের সাঁওতালী বিভাগের প্রধান ক্ষুদিরাম মূর্মূ ও সূবর্ণরেখা মহাবিদ্যালয়ের অধ্যাপক রতন কুমার সামন্ত। এছাড়াও উপস্থিত ছিলেন মহাবিদ্যালয়ের সাঁওতালী বিভাগের শিক্ষক শিক্ষিকারা।
