পশ্চিম মেদিনীপুর : শুক্রবার সকালে খরগোপুর টাউন থানায় গলায় ব্লেড চালিয়ে আত্মহত্যার চেষ্টা করল পি শিবা রাও নামে ২৭ বছরের এক যুবক। কিছুদিন আগেই ফানি ও গন্ডগোলে জড়িত থাকার অভিযোগে পিসি বাড়াও কে গ্রেপ্তার করে খরগোপুর টাউন থানার পুলিশ। বৃহস্পতিবারই জামিনে ছাড়া পেয়ে বাড়ি ফেরে সে। হঠাৎই বৃহস্পতিবার এত রাতে শিবার বাড়ি গিয়ে খোঁজ করে খরগোপুর টাউন থানার পুলিশ।
কিন্তু শিবা কে না পেয়ে ভাইকেই তুলে নিয়ে আসে থানায়। কি কারনে ভাইকে পুলিশ তুলে নিয়ে আসছে তা জানতে এদিন সকালে টাউন থানায় পৌঁছোয় শিবা। এ সময় হঠাৎ করেই পুলিশের সাথে তার বচসা শুরু হয় এবং ডিউটি রত পুলিশের সামনেই নিজের গলায় ব্লেড চালিয়ে আত্মহত্যার চেষ্টা করে শিবা। এরপর টাউন থানার পুলিশ আশঙ্কাজনক অবস্থায় শিবাকে খড়গপুর মহাকুমা হাসপাতালে আশঙ্কাজনক অবস্থায় ভর্তি করে। ঘটনা নিয়ে এখনই কিছু বলতে নারাজ খরগোপুর টাউন থানার পুলিশ।
