শনিবার দুই দিনের উত্তর দিননাজপুর জেলা সফরে এলেন উত্তরবঙ্গ উন্নয়ন দপ্তরের ভারপ্রাপ্ত মন্ত্রী রবীন্দ্রনাথ ঘোষ। ইসলামপুর ব্লকের মাটিকুন্ডা ও থুকরা বাড়িতে দুটি সেতুর৷ শিলান্যাস করেন তিনি। এর পর তিনি ইসলামপুর সার্কিট হাউসে সাংবাদিক সম্মেলনে জানান যে শনিবার ও রবিবার উত্তরদিনাজপুর জেলা সফরে থাকা কালিন দপ্তরের সাতটি ব্রিজের সূচনা করবেন। সেই সঙ্গে কিছু এলাকা পরিদর্শন করবেন।
উত্তর দিনাজপুর জেলায় ১২৮ কোটি টাকা ব্যায় করে শোলার সিস্টাম পাম্প মেশিন দেওয়ার কাজ খুব শিঘ্রই শুরু হবে। ইসলামপুর পৌরসভাকে রাস্তার এলইডি লাইটের জন্য ৭৮ লক্ষ টাকা দেওয়া হয়েছে। তিনি আরোও বলেন যে উত্তরবঙ্গের সমস্ত পৌরসভাকে মডেল পৌরসভা করবো। এর পর তিনি বিকালে দাড়িভিটের দলঞ্চা নদীর বাসের শাকো পরিদর্শন করেন। তিনি আস্বাস দিয়েছেন আগামী এক বছরের মধ্যে এখানে পাকা সেতু নির্মাণ করার।
