বহরমপুরঃ বৃহস্পতিবার রাত্রে আসামে জঙ্গীদের হাতে ৫জন বাঙ্গালী নাগরিকের গনহত্যার প্রতিবাদে রাস্তায় নামল বহরমপুর টাউন তৃনমূল কংগ্রেস নেতৃত্ব। শুক্রবার বিকেলে মুখ্যমন্ত্রীর নির্দেশে রাজ্যের সাথে মুর্শিদাবাদ জেলার বহরমপুর শহরেও তৃনমূল নেতৃত্ব প্রতিবাদ মিছিলে সামিল হয়। এদিন জেলা তৃনমূল কংগ্রেস কার্যালয় থেকে এই মিছিল বের হয়ে গোটা বহরমপুর শহর পরিক্রমা করে।
বহরমপুর টাউন কংগ্রেস সভাপতি নাড়ুগোপাল মুখার্জী এই মিছিলের নেতৃত্ব দেন। এদিনের মিছিলে উপস্থিত ছিলেন বহরমপুর পৌরসভার চেয়ারম্যান নীলরতন আঢ্য, তৃনমূল জেলা মুখপাত্র অশোক দাস, বহরমপুর মহকুমা সভাপতি অরীৎ মজুমদার সহ অন্যান্য নেতা কর্মীরা। টাউন সভাপতি জানান যে, বিজেপি শাসিত রাজ্যে এই ধরনের ঘটনা ঘটছে। তারা এই ঘটনা কিছুতেই মেনে নেবেন না। মুখ্যমন্ত্রী মমতা ব্যানার্জীর নির্দেশে তারা রাজ্যজুড়ে প্রতিবাদ মিছিলে সামিল হবেন।
