জমি বিবাদের জেরে তৃনমূল কংগ্রেস ও কংগ্রেসের মধ্যে ব্যাপক সংঘর্স। সংঘর্ষে তৃনমূলের পঞ্চায়েত সদস্য সহ গুরুতর আহত চার জন। স্থানীয়রা আহতদের উদ্ধার করে প্রথমে চোপড়ার দলুয়া স্বাস্থকেন্দ্রে নিয়ে যায়। আহতদের অবস্থা গুরুতর থাকায় চিকিৎসকরা ইসলামপুর মহকুমা হাসপাতালে রেফার করে। ঘটনাটি ঘটেছে উত্তরদিনাজপুর জেলার চোপড়া থানার লক্ষিপুর গ্রামপঞ্চায়েতের পশ্চিটোলা গ্রামে। জানা গিয়েছে এদিন অমল ও জাফরের একটি জমি নিয়ে উত্তেজনা সৃস্টি হয়।

তখন সেখানে বর্তমান তৃনমূলের পঞ্চায়েত সদস্য জমিলা খাতুনের স্বামী নুড় আলম উভয়ের মধ্যে মীমাংসা করে দেয়। মীমাংসার পর বাড়ি ফেরার পথে রাস্তায় জাফরের লোকজন ধারালো অস্ত্র, লোহার রড নিয়ে নুড় আলমের উপর চরাও হয়।তাকে বাচানোর জন্য তার স্ত্রী জমিলা খাতুন সহ আরো কয়েকজন এগিয়ে আসলে তাদেরকেও মারধোর করা হয় বলে অভিযোগ। এই ঘটনায় তৃনমূল কংগ্রেসের প্রাক্তন পঞ্চায়েত সদস্য নুড় আলম,বর্তমান পঞ্চায়ে সদস্য জমিলা খাতুন, সহ চারজন গুরুতর আহত হয়।পুলিশ ঘটনার খবর পেয়ে ঘটনাস্থলে গিয়ে পরিস্থিতি নিয়ন্ত্রণে আনে। আর ঘটনার তদন্ত শুরু করেছে চোপড়া থানার পুলিশ।
