বহরমপুরঃ- পথ চলতি সাধারণ মানুষের হারিয়ে যাওয়া বাইক উদ্ধার করে বাইক মালিকদের হাতে চাবি তুলে দিলেন মুর্শিদাবাদ জেলা পুলিস সুপার মুকেশ কুমার। শুক্রবার বেলা সাড়ে ১১টা নাগাদ বহরমপুর পুলিস লাইনে এক সাংবাদিক সম্মেলন করে বাইক মালিকদের হাতে হারিয়ে যাওয়া বাইকের চাবি তুলে দেন। এদিন জেলা পুলিস সুপার জানান যে বেশ সেপ্টেম্বর মাসের ১২তারিখে মুর্শিদাবাদের বেলডাঙ্গা থানা এলাকায় তল্লাশি চালিয়ে ৩১টি হারিয়ে যাওয়া বাইক উদ্ধার হয়। এবং ৩জনকে গ্রেপ্তার করা হয়।
ধৃতদের পুলিসি হেফাজতে নিয়ে পুলিস তাদের সূত্র ধরে আরও ৭টি বাইক উদ্ধার করা হয় এবং তাদের কাছ থেকে কিছু নাম জানতে পারে পুলিস। তাদের মধ্যে তোয়াদেজ সেখ নামে একজনকে পুলিস বেলডাঙ্গা থেকে গ্রেপ্তার করে। তারকাছ থেকে তথ্য পেয়ে আরও ২টো বাইক উদ্ধার হয় মালদা জেলার কালিয়াচক থেকে। এখন পর্যন্ত মোট ৪০টি বাইক উদ্ধার করেছে পুলিস। উদ্ধার হওয়া ১০টি মোটর বাইককে চিহ্নিত করা হয়েছে। বাইকের মালিককে চিহ্নিত করে কোর্ট থেকে অর্ডার পেয়ে শুক্রবার তাদের হাতে বাইকের চাবি তুলে দিলেন জেলা পুলিস সুপার মুকেশ কুমার।
পুলিস দুইজনকে এখনো ধরতে পারে নি। তাদের ধরার চেষ্টা করছে। তাদেরকে ধরতে পারলে আরও কিছু মোটর বাইক উদ্ধার করা যবে বলে পুলিস মনে করছে। হারিয়ে যাওয়া বাইকগুলি বেশির ভাগই বেলডাঙ্গা থানা এলাকার। এছাড়াও নদীয়ারও দুটি মোটর বাইক উদ্ধার হয়েছে। বহরমপুরে সিসিটিভ লাগানোর ফলে বাইক চুরি অনেকটাই কমেছে বলে তিনি জানান, আগামীতে জেলার অন্যান্য থানা এলাকায় সিসিটিভি ক্যামেরা লাগানোর চিন্তাভাবনা চলছে বলে জানান।
