আজ থেকে দ্বিতীয় হুগলি ব্রিজ দিয়ে কলকাতা যেতে বা হাওড়া আসতে হলে লাগবে না কোন টোল ট্যাক্স। তবে সব গাড়ির জন্য নয়। কেবলমাত্র বাইক এর জন্যই নিয়ম কার্যকর করা হয়েছে। কয়েকদিন আগে রাজ্যের প্রশাসনিক দপ্তর থেকে এই নির্দেশিকা জারি করা হয়েছিল। সেইমতো পয়লা অক্টোবর থেকে দ্বিতীয় হুগলি সেতুতে আর কোন টোল ট্যাক্স লাগবে না বাইকের। বর্তমানে এই টোল ট্যাক্স চালানোর দায়িত্ব ভর বহন করছে রিধিমা টোল ব্রিজ নামক একটি সস্তা।
