কলকাতা: মিড ডে মিল নিয়ে মাঝেমধ্যেই অভিযোগ ওঠে বিভিন্ন মহল থেকে। ওঠে অস্বচ্ছতার অভিযোগ। এই ধরনের অভিযোগ পুরোপুরি বন্ধ করতে উদ্যোগি হল রাজ্যের শিক্ষা দফতর।বৃহস্পতিবার বিদ্যালয় পর্যবেক্ষকদের নিয়ে প্রথম দফার বৈঠক সারলেন শিক্ষা মন্ত্রী পার্থ চট্টোপাধ্যায়। ২০১৮ সালের গোড়ার দিকে সবকটি জেলা মিলিয়ে সরকারি আওতাভুক্ত বিদ্যালয় গুলিতে মিড ডে মিল পরিষেবা সহ বিভিন্ন আনুসাঙ্গিক বিষয় পর্যবেক্ষণ করার জন্যে ২১ থেকে ৪৫ বছর বয়সের মধ্যে সীমাবদ্ধ ৪০০ জন যুবক যুবতীকে মাসিক ১১ হাজার টাকা বেতনের ভিত্তিতে সাময়িক ভাবে পর্যবেক্ষক হিসাবে তিন দফায় নিয়োগ করে পশ্চিমবঙ্গ শিক্ষা দফতর।
তাদের মধ্যে উত্তর ও দক্ষিণ ২৪ পরগনা সহ মোট 9টি জেলার ২৫১ জন পর্যবেক্ষকদের নিয়ে সল্টলেকের একটি প্রেক্ষাগৃহে প্রথম দফায় বৈঠক করেন পশ্চিমবঙ্গ সরকারের শিক্ষা দফতরের ভারপ্রাপ্ত মন্ত্রী পার্থ চট্টোপাধ্যায়। মিড ডে মিল সংক্রান্ত বিষয়ে পূর্বে যে সকল অভিযোগ শিক্ষা দফতরে এসেছে সেই গুলি সহ বর্তমানে বিভিন্ন বিদ্যালয়ে গিয়ে পর্যবেক্ষণ করে জেলার সচিবকে বা সরাসরি বিকাশ ভবনের শিক্ষা দফতরে রিপোর্ট জমা করার নির্দেশ দেন তিনি। মিড ডে মিলে যাতে পরবর্তী সময়ে কোনও অভিযোগ না আসে এবং পাশাপাশি বেকার যুবক যুবতীদের কর্মসংস্থান এর উদ্যেশ্যে এই পর্যবেক্ষক নিয়োগ বলে জানান শিক্ষা মন্ত্রী পার্থ চট্টোপাধ্যায়।
