চেক জালিয়াত করে প্রায় পাঁচ লক্ষ টাকা তুলে নিলো প্রতারক

 হুগলী: এটিএম জালিয়াতিতে যখন সারা দেশ তোলপাড় ঠিক তখনই চেক জালিয়াত করে প্রায় পাঁচ লক্ষ টাকা তুলে নিলো প্রতারক। অবসর গ্রহনের পর সারা জীবনের সঞ্চিত অর্থ খোয়া গেলো এক প্রাক্তন পুলিশ কর্মীর। ব্যাঙ্ক কতৃপক্ষ থেকে শুরু পুলিশ প্রশাসনের দোরে-দোরে ঘুরে বেড়াচ্ছেন ওই ব্যাক্তি। চাঞ্চল্যকর ঘটনাটি ঘটেছে চুঁচুড়া থানার অন্তর্গত কেওটা ঝাঁপপুকুরে। ওই এলাকার বাসিন্দা প্রাক্তন পুলিশ কন্সটেবল গোপাল দাস(৭৮)এর ব্যাঙ্ক একাউন্ট রয়েছে UBI ব্যাঙ্কের স্থানীয় লাটবাগান শাখায়।

তার ছেলে তুষারের সাথে জয়েন্ট একাউন্ট। যদিও অ্যাকাউন্টটি পরিচালনা করেন গোপালবাবুই। গত ২১শে জুলাই তিনি ব্যাঙ্কে গিয়ে পাসবই আপডেট করে জানতে পারেন গত ১২ই জুলাই ১৮০৯৯৭ নাম্বার চেক থেকে ৩লক্ষ ৯৫হাজার ৫০০টাকা এবং ১৭ জুলাই ১৮০৯৯৮ নাম্বার চেক থেকে ১লক্ষ ১০হাজার টাকা তুলে নেওয়া হয়েছে, যদিও ওই নম্বরের চেক, চেক বই থেকে ব্যাবহার হয় নি । এরপর তিনি ব্যাঙ্ক ও চুঁচুড়া থানায় অভিযোগ দায়ের করলেও কোন সুরাহা হয়নি। আজ তিনি সহযোগিতার জন্য চুঁচুড়ার একটি স্বেচ্ছাসেবী সংগঠনের দ্বারস্থ হন।
