হাওড়া: দীঘা আর যাওয়া হলো না। ভয়ংকর দুর্ঘটনা প্রাণ হারালেন একইসঙ্গে ৫ জন অসমীয়া যুবক। ঘটনাটি ঘটেছে হাওড়া বাগনানে ৬ নং জাতীয় সড়কে নউপাল এলাকায়। স্থানীয় সূত্রে জানা যায় দুপুরের দিকে বিকট শব্দ শুনতে পাওয়া যায়। এলাকার বাসিন্দারা ছুটে এসে দেখেন দাঁড়িয়ে থাক একটি ট্যাংকারে পিছনে ধাক্কা মেরে দলা পাকিয়ে গিয়েছে একটি গাড়ি। তখনো ইঞ্জিন গোঁগোঁ করছিল। ভিতর থেকে রক্তাক্ত আরোহিদের বের করে আনতে শাবল নিয়ে আসা হয়। বের করবার আগেই চারজনের মৃত্যু হয়।
বাকি দুইজনকে উলুবেড়িয়া মহাকুমা হাসপাতালে পাঠানো হলে সেখানে একজনের মৃত্যু হয়। স্থানীয়দের অভিযোগ তুলসিবেড়িয়া থেকে বাগনান পর্যন্ত লরি ও ট্যাংকার সারি সারি দিয়ে দাঁড়িয়ে থাকে। প্রায় দূর্ঘটনা লেগে থাকে মৃত্যু হয়েছিল বেশ কয়েকজনের। নজরদারি থাকলেও দাঁড়িয়ে থাকে লরি ও ট্যাংকার। প্রশাসনের উপর ক্ষোভ উগড়ে দিচ্ছেন স্হানীয় বাসিন্দারা।মৃতদের নাম গাড়ির চালক সেখ ইমতিয়াজ, চাঁদ মহম্মদ, রুহুল আমিন ও তরিকুল আলি।
পুলিশ সূত্রে জানা গেছে বুধবার দুপুরে অসমের ৫ বাসিন্দা খিদিরপুর থেকে দিঘা যাচ্ছিলন।বাগনানের নউপালের কাছে নিয়ন্ত্রণ হারিয়ে দাঁড়িয়ে থাকা ট্যাঙ্কারের পিছনে ধাক্কা মারে ঘটনায় ৫ জনের মৃত্যু হয়।
