উত্তর দিনাজপুর: “কনফেডারেশন অফ নর্থ বেঙ্গল অ্যান্ড সিকিম জার্নালিস্ট ” এর প্রথম সম্মেলন অনুষ্ঠিত হল উত্তর দিনাজপুর জেলা সদর রায়গঞ্জ শহরের রবীন্দ্র ভবনে। সিকিম ও উত্তরবঙ্গের সমস্ত সাংবাদিকদের এই মঞ্চের প্রথম সম্মেলনে সন্মানীয় অতিথিদের মধ্যে উপস্থিত ছিলেন রায়গঞ্জ পুরসভার চেয়ারম্যান সন্দীপ বিশ্বাস, ইটাহারের বিধায়ক অমল আচার্য, রায়গঞ্জ পুরসভার ভাইস চেয়ারমান অরিন্দম সরকার, শিলিগুড়ি জার্নালিস্ট ক্লাবের সম্পাদক অংশুমান চক্রবর্তী, সভাপতি প্রমোদ গিরিসহ জেলার বিশিষ্ট ব্যাক্তিবর্গ।
উত্তরবঙ্গ জুড়ে সাংবাদিকদের এই সম্মেলন মঞ্চে উত্তর দিনাজপুর জেলার পাঁচজন বিশিষ্ট প্রবীন সাংবাদিককে মানপত্র দিয়ে সম্বর্দ্ধনা জ্ঞাপন করা হয়। তারা হলেন বিশিষ্ট শিশু সাহিত্যিক তথা সাংবাদিক তুহীন চন্দ, আজকাল পত্রিকার প্রবীন সাংবাদিক সুনীল চন্দ, সাংবাদিক স্বপন মজুমদার, সাংবাদিক তপন চক্রবর্তী ও সাংবাদিক বিনয় কৃষ্ণ গোস্বামী।
” কনফেডারেশন অফ নর্থ বেঙ্গল অ্যান্ড সিকিম জার্নালিস্ট ” এর প্রথম সম্মেলনের আয়োজক উত্তর দিনাজপুর প্রেসক্লাবের সাধারন সম্পাদক অলিপ মিত্র জানান, উত্তরবঙ্গের সবকটি জেলা প্রেসক্লাবের সমস্ত সাংবাদিক ও সিকিমের বিভিন্ন পত্রপত্রিকা ও বৈদ্যুতিন মাধ্যমের সাংবাদিকেরা একই ছাতার তলে এসে এই সংগঠন গড়ে তুলেছেন। তারই প্রথম সম্মেলন অনুষ্ঠিত হল উত্তর দিনাজপুর জেলার রায়গঞ্জে। সাংবাদিকদের কর্মক্ষেত্রে নানান অসুবিধা ও প্রয়োজন এবং বিভিন্ন দাবি দাওয়া উঠে এসেছে আজকের এই সম্মেলনে। পরবর্তিতে এইসব দাবিদাওয়া সংগঠনের মাধ্যমে সরকারের কাছে তুলে ধরা হবে।
