পশ্চিম মেদিনীপুর: মেদিনীপুর থেকে ঝাড়গ্রাম যাওয়ার পথে দুর্ঘটনাগ্রস্থ একটি যাত্রীবাহি বাস ৷ ঘটনায় এখনও পর্যন্ত আহত প্রায় ১৭ ৷ যাদের মধ্যে ১১ জনকে নিয়ে আসা হয়েছে মেদিনীপুর মেডিক্যাল কলেজ হাসপাতালে৷ আহতদের মধ্যে রেখা গোড়োই, সমনা সরেন, ইপসিতা মুখার্জী, অমরনাথ মিশ্র, পূজা প্রামানিক সহ ১১ জনকে নিয়ে আসা হয়েছে মেদিনীপুর মেডিক্যাল কলেজ হাসপাতালে৷ জানা গেছে আজ বিকেলে একটি যাত্রাবাহী বাস মেদিনীপুর থেকে ঝাড়গ্রাম যাচ্ছিল ৷
মেদিনীপুর শহর ছাড়িয়ে গোপগড় দিয়ে মেনে বাসটি যখন দ্রুতগতিতে যাচ্ছিল তখন নেপুরার কাছে একটি টার্নিং এ অপর একটি গাড়ীকে ওভারটেক করতে গিয়েই বাসটি নিয়ন্ত্রণ হারিয়ে ফেলে উলটে যায় বলে স্থানীয় সূত্রে জানা গেছে ৷ বাসটি রাস্তার ওপর উলটে যাওয়া যানচলাচল স্থগিত হয়ে যায় ৷ ঘটনার খবর পেয়ে কোতয়ালী থানার পুলিশ ঘটনাস্থানে যায় ৷ আহতদের স্থানীয়রাই উদ্ধার করে মেদিনীপুর মেডিক্যাল কলেজ হাসপাতালে পাঠায়৷
