মঙ্গলবার সকালে বহরমপুর গোরাবাজার এলাকার একটি ছাত্রাবাসে এক বি এড ছাত্রের গলায় ফাঁস দিয়ে আত্মহত্যা করার ঘটনায় চাঞ্চল্য ছড়ায় এলাকায়।বাড়ি ডোমকল থানার জিতপুর গ্রামে। স্থানীয়দের কাছে খবর পেয়ে বহরমপুর থানার পুলিস ওই ছাত্রাবাসে গিয়ে মৃতদেহ উদ্ধার করে নিয়ে আসে এবং ময়না তদন্তের জন্য মুর্শিদাবাদ মেডিক্যাল কলেজ হাসপাতালে পাঠায়। মৃত ছাত্রের নাম হুমায়ুন কবীর, বয়স ২৪
সূত্রের খবর ডোমকলের জিৎপুরের বাসিন্দা হুমায়ুন কবীর গত চারদিন আগে বহরমপুর শহরের গোরাবাজার এলাকায় চৌধুরী মেস নামে একটি ছাত্রবাসে ঘরভাড়া নিয়ে থাকতে শুরু করে। মঙ্গলবার সকালে ওই ছাত্রবাসে অন্যান্য ছাত্ররা টিফিন করতে মেসের বাইরে দোকানে যায় ফিরে এসে ঘরের দরজা বন্ধ দেখে ডাকাডাকি করার পরেও কোন সাড়াশব্দ না পাওয়ায় তাদের সন্দেহ হয় তখন জানাল দিয়ে দেখে ওই ছাত্র ঘরের সিলিং ফ্যানের সঙ্গে দড়িতে ফাঁস দিয়ে ঝুলছে।বহরমপুর থানার পুলিস ঘটনার তদন্ত শুরু করেছে।
