ঘটনাটি ঘটেছে বড়ঞা থানার মানিকপুর গ্রাম এলাকায়। স্থানীয় বাসিন্দারা জানান, বীরভূম জেলার ময়ুরেশ্বর থানার অন্তর্গত বেলার গ্রাম থেকে দিন মজুরী কাজ করতে আসেন দুইজন মহিলা ও ২জন পুরুষ। বড়ঞায় পথ দুর্ঘটনায় মৃত্যু এক মহিলা সহ জখম তিন। ঘটনাটি ঘটেছে মুর্শিদাবাদ জেলার বড়ঞা থানার অন্তর্গত মানিকপুর গ্রামে। মোটর চালিত ভ্যান উল্টে মৃত্যু হল এক জনের জখম হলেন আরও তিনজন।
কাজ করে বাড়ি ফেরার পথে মোটর চালিত ভ্যান উল্টে জখম হন ৪জনেই। আহত অবস্থায় ৪ জনকেই কান্দী মহকুমা হাসপাতালে ভর্তি করা হলে কিছুক্ষনের মধ্যেই সুশীলা মান্ডি(২৬) নামে এক মহিলাকে চিকিৎসক মৃত ঘোষনা করেন। সুশীলা মান্ডির মৃতদেহ ময়না তদন্তের জন্য কান্দী মহকুমা হাসপাতালে পাঠানো হয়েছে। আহত বাবুল আল মুর্মু, পমিলা মান্ডি ও রাম মান্ডি নামে ৩জন কান্দি মহকুমা হাসপাতালে চিকিৎসাধীন।
