বুধবার দঃ দিনাজপুর জেলার কুমারগঞ্জ ব্লকের গোপালগঞ্জ বাস স্ট্যান্ড ও কুশমণ্ডিতে একটি অনুষ্ঠানের মাধ্যমে তৃণমূল, আরএসপি, ও সিপিআইএম থেকে প্রায় ৪ হাজার কর্মী সমর্থক বিজেপিতে যোগদান করল। সদ্য বিজেপিতে আসা কর্মী সমর্থকদের হাতে দলীয় পতাকা তুলে দেন জেলা বিজেপির অন্যতম সাধারণ সম্পাদক মানস সরকার, বিজেপি নেত্রী মাফুজা খাতুন।
আসন্ন লোকসভা ভোটকে সামনে রেখে নিজেদের সংগঠনকে আরও শক্তিশালি করতে বুথ স্তর থেকে ব্লক স্তরে প্রচারাভিযান শুরু করেছে দক্ষিণ দিনাজপুর জেলা বিজেপি। এদিন তার সফলতা স্বরুপ তৃণমূল ও আরএসপি এবং সিপিআইএম ছেড়ে ৬০০ পরিবারের প্রায় ৪ হাজার জন বিজেপিতে যোগদান করে বিজিপি কর্মীরা মনে করেন। কেন্দ্র সরকারের কাজে উদ্বুদ্ধ হয়ে এদিন তারা বিজেপিতে যোগদান করেন বলে জানায় সদ্য বিজেপিতে যোগদানকারীরা।
