গোপীবল্লভপুর থানার উদ্যোগে মঙ্গলবার আন্তর্জাতিক মাদক বিরোধী দিবস পালন করা হল।মঙ্গলবার সকাল আটটা নাগাদ গোপীবল্লভপুরের হাতিবাড়ী মোড় থেকে গোপীবল্লভপুর থানা চক পর্যন্ত একটি পদযাত্রা করা হয়।পদযাত্রায় উপস্থিত ছিলেন গোপীবল্লভপুর থানার আধিকারিক সুদীপ ব্যানার্জী সুর্বণরেখা মহাবিদ্যালয়ের ভারপ্রাপ্ত টিচার ইনচার্জ ডাঃ রতন কুমার সামন্ত গোপীবল্লভপুরের স্বাস্থ্য আধিকারিক জয়দেব মাহাতো গোপীবল্লভপুর পঞ্চায়েত সমিতির প্রাক্তন সহ-সভাপতি সত্যরঞ্জন বারিক এছাড়া কয়েকটি স্কুলের ছাত্রছাত্রী সহ থানার পুলিশ কর্মীরা।
আন্তর্জাতিক মাদক বিরোধী দিবস উপলক্ষে হাতিবাড়ী মোড়ে একটি স্টিক কর্ণার হয় সেখানে মাদক সেবন মুক্ত এলাকা গড়ে তোলা ও মাদক সেবনের কারনে প্রানহানী বিষয়ে সাধারন মানুষকে সচেতন করা হয়।এছাড়া গোপীবল্লভপুর থানা প্রাঙ্গনে পাঁচ বছর বয়স থেকে ষোলো বছর বয়সী ছাত্রছাত্রীদের জন্য বসে আঁকো প্রতিযোগিতার আয়োজন করা হয়েছিল।গোপীবল্লভপুর থানার পক্ষথেকে সমস্ত প্রতিযোগিদের পুরস্কৃত করা হয়।
