ভাঙড় থানা সমন্বয় কমিটির উদ্যোগে অনুষ্ঠিত হল পবিত্র ইফতার মজলিস। বিগত কয়েক বছর ধরে হিন্দু মুসলিম উভয় সম্প্রদায়ের ধর্মীয় বিভিন্ন অনুষ্ঠান ও উৎসব পালন করে আসছে এই কমিটি। এই ধরনের উৎসব অনুষ্ঠান আয়োজনের মাধ্যমে এলাকার সাম্প্রদায়িক সম্প্রীতি রক্ষায় গুরুত্বপূর্ন ভূমিকা পালন করে চলেছে সমন্বয় কমিটি। সমন্বয় কমিটিতে রয়েছেন ভাঙড় থানার ওসি, ভাঙড় ১ ব্লকের বিডিও এবং সমাজসেবি কাইজার আহমেদসহ এলাকার বিশিষ্ট ব্যক্তিরা।
প্রায় ৬০০ ব্যক্তি ইফতার মজলিসে অংশ নেন। মুসলিম রোজাদারদের পাশাপাশি হিন্দু ভাইয়েরাও অংশ গ্রহণ করেন। এভাবেই ইফতার মজলিস হয়ে ওঠে সম্প্রতির মিলনক্ষেত্র। অনুষ্ঠানে উপস্থিত ছিলেন সমাজসেবি কাইজার আহমেদ, মফিজুল ইসলাম, আমিরুল ইসলাম, ভাঙড় ১ ব্লকের বিডিও সৌগত পাত্র, ওসি অশোকতরু মুখার্জীসহ বিশিষ্ট জনের।
