জীবনের বিভিন্ন সময়ে, কাজী নজরুল ইসলাম তাঁর আত্মীয়-স্বজন, সাহিত্যিক, এবং শুভাকাঙ্খী, বন্ধু-সুহৃদসহ নানাজনকে লিখেছেন নানারকম চিঠিপত্র, যার মধ্যে তাঁর রসবোধ, রাজনৈতিক ভাবনা, প্রেমবোধ, তৎকালীন আর্থসামাজিক অবস্থা, মানবতাবোধ, ইত্যাদি নানান বিষয় ফুটে উঠেছে— যা সৃজনশীলতার পাশাপাশি, সাহিত্যভাবনায়ও অত্যন্ত গুরুত্বপূর্ণ, মূল্যবান ও তাৎপর্যপূর্ণ। কোয়েস্ট ওয়ার্ল্ড থেকে প্রকাশিত ও ছায়ানট (কলকাতা) নিবেদিত ‘ইতি নজরুল’ শিরোনামের অমূল্য সিডিটিতে ৫৭টি চিঠি পাঠ করেছেন দুই বাংলার প্রখ্যাত ৪১ জন বাচিক ও সংগীতশিল্পী। প্রখ্যাত নজরুলগীতি গায়িকা সোমঋতা মল্লিকের পরিকল্পনা ও পরিচালনায়, এই সিডির সংকলনটি আনুষ্ঠানিকভাবে প্রকাশ পেতে চলেছে আগামী ‘নজরুল মেলা ২০১৮’ (নজরুলতীর্থ, নিউটাউন, কলকাতা), পয়লা জুন, বিকেল ৫টাতে।
কিছুদিনের মধ্যেই ‘ইতি নজরুল’ ডিজিটালি ২৪০টি দেশে ও ফিজিক্যালি ৬০টি দেশে পাওয়া যাবে। আশা করি, বিশ্বব্যাপী আপামর নজরুলপ্রেমীদের কাছে এই সংকলনটি সমাদৃত হবে। শ্রোতৃমণ্ডলী ‘ইতি নজরুল’ সিডিটি শুনে মুগ্ধ হবেন এবং মনের আকাশ ভরে উঠবে। কলকাতার নবনির্মিত নজরুলতীর্থ নিউটাউনে ‘নজরুল মেলা ২০১৮’ আয়োজিত হবে পয়লা জুন, বিকেল ৫টার সময়। বিদ্রোহী কবি কাজী নজরুল ইসলামকে নিয়ে নানান সাংস্কৃতিক প্রতিযোগিতা ও অনুষ্ঠান অনুষ্ঠিত হবে। প্রতিবছের মতো এবছরও নজরুল মেলা সকলের মনে দাগ কাটবে।
