বাঘের পায়ের ছাপ তবে কি বাঘ এলো ?

কেই জানে কখন হুস করে কোথায় বাঘ বের হবে! এই আতঙ্ক গ্রাস করেছে ইটাহার গ্রামের বাসিন্দাদের মধ্যে। যার ফলে সন্ধ্যার পর গ্রামের ছেলেমেয়েরা বাঘের আতঙ্কে টিউশন পর্যন্ত যেতে ভয় পাচ্ছে। টিউশন সন্ধ্যার পর একে বারে ফাঁকা হয়ে যাচ্ছে। হাতে গোনা কয়েক জন আসছে। আবার কোন কোন ক্ষেত্রে একেবারেই ফাঁকা টিউশন কেন্দ্র গুলি। গত কয়েক দিন ধরে ইটাহার অঞ্চলের চাঁকলা লক্ষীপুর এলাকায় এমনই বাঘের আতঙ্ক ছড়িয়েছ।

বাঘের পায়ের ছাপ দেখে ভয়ে জবুথবু হয়ে যায় সকলে।  জানা যায় কয়েক দিন আগে বিকালে এলাকার কিছু বাসিন্দা মাঠে কাজ করতে গেলে এই বাঘের মত পশুর পায়ের ছাপ দেখতে পায় অনেক জায়গায়। গ্রামবাসী সূত্রে জানা যায় এলাকায় মাঝে মধ্যে রাতের অন্ধকারে এক ধরনের পশু দেখতে পাওয়া যাচ্ছিল।  ফলে তারা গ্রামের মানুষ আতঙ্কে লাঠি নিয়ে গ্রাম পাহাড়া দেয় । কিন্তু হঠাত্ ঐ পশুর পায়ের ছাপ ঘিরে ব্যপক উত্তেজনা ছড়ায় এলাকায়। ঘটনা স্থলে ভির জমায় এলাকার বহু সাধারন মানুষ খবর রায়গঞ্জের বন দফতরের আধিকারিক যায় ও পায়ের ছাপ সংগ্রহ করে, রায়গঞ্জের বন দপ্তরের আধিকারিক দিপর্ণ দত্ত জানান,  এলাকায় বাঘের মত কোনো পশুর পায়ের ছাপ দেখা যায় মাঠে নানান যায়গায়। আমাদের আধিকারিক দের পাঠায় ঘটনা স্থলে তারা পায়ের ছাপের নমুনা সংগ্রহ করে এনেছে। সেটি বাঘের পায়ের মত হলেও বাঘের না। সেটি কোন বড় জংলি পশুর ছাপ হতে পারে ।তবে ছাপ দেখে সকলেই বাঘের ভয়ে আতঙ্কিত হয়ে রয়েছে ।
