নিজস্ব প্রতিবেদক: বিজ্ঞানের প্রসারে বেশি করে আঞ্চলিক ভাষা ব্যবহার করার জন্য দেশের বিজ্ঞানীদের প্রতি অনুরোধ করেছেন প্রধানমন্ত্রী নরেন্দ্র মোদী। প্রধানমন্ত্রী বলেন ‘ভাষা কোনও বাধা নয়, বরং তা নতুন সুযোগ তৈরি করে। আঞ্চলিক ভাষায় বিজ্ঞান পড়ানো হলে তাতে যুব সমাজের বিজ্ঞানের প্রতি ভালবাসা বাড়বে।’
বৈজ্ঞানিক সত্যেন্দ্রনাথ বসুর ১২৫তম জন্মবার্ষিকী উপলক্ষ্যে আয়োজিত অনুষ্ঠানে ভিডিও কনফারেন্সের মাধ্যমে ভাষণকালে এসব কথা বলেন প্রধানমন্ত্রী নরেন্দ্র মোদী।
বিজ্ঞানীদের অনুরোধ করে তিনি বলেন, সাধারণ মানুষের সাহায্যার্থে সাধারণ বৈজ্ঞানিক জ্ঞান ব্যবহার করতে।
হবে। কারণ গরিব মানুষের জীবনে ইতিবাচক প্রভাব ফেলার ওপর কোনও উদ্ভাবন বা গবেষণার চূড়ান্ত ফল নির্ভর করে।
আপনাদের উদ্ভাবনের ফলে কি গরিবের কোনও উপকার হয়েছে, মধ্যবিত্তের জীবন সংগ্রাম কিছুটা হলেও কমেছে? বিজ্ঞানী মহলের প্রতি প্রশ্ন রেখেছেন তিনি।
আর বিজ্ঞানের প্রতি যুব সমাজের ভালবাসা বাড়াতে প্রয়োজন আরও বেশি করে মাতৃভাষার ব্যবহার। কোনও বাধা নয়, বিজ্ঞান শিক্ষায় সহায়ক হোক ভাষা। বলেছেন প্রধানমন্ত্রী।
দেশের আর্থ-সামাজিক পরিস্থিতির কথা মাথায় রেখে গবেষণার বিষয় খুঁজে নেওয়ার জন্যও বৈজ্ঞানিকদের অনুরোধ করেছেন প্রধানমন্ত্রী।
